Clinical Psychology Registrar
Katherine is a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. She holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Katherine has experience supporting clients with anxiety and other mental health difficulties across a range of settings, including outpatient hospital, child and youth mental health services, Telehealth and private practice.
She has an interest in the impact of chronic health conditions on mental health, including initial adjustment and longer-term challenges, as well as other challenging life events including trauma, relationship difficulties, life role transitions and issues relating to gender and sexuality. She has conducted research on contributors to positive self-image beliefs in women with intellectual disabilities, and has a compassionate, strengths-based approach to treatment with all her clients. She uses primarily Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her work.
